Am I the only one who thinks Quintana could be a threat for Canelo? But Quintana makes sense for independence day + the mexico - puerto rico rivalry.

Quintana's team have denied they are fighting Canelo. They claim no offer was ever received.

Quintana is the type of fighters that GBP likes. An over the hill fighter that has some type of name and a decent record.

But beware, we have seen what he has done with Joel Julio, PW and in his last fight. He can be a spoiler. Which is weird cause he fights with his mouth open like he is gassed out or something

The might fight Mudine, he is the forgotten nobody out there looking for a fight.

Wolak is willing to come out of retirement or they can bring Winky for one more time. While we at it didn't I hear that "El Feroz" was training for a comeback?

If Quintana was the opponent I doubt they would say if they were since nothing has been announced officially by Golden Boy. I wouldn't diss a Quintana or Mudine fight. I would prefer Trout Molina or Lara but I understand they are not ready to step up just yet. Well unless it's cashing out for someone like Cotto or Mayweather then yeah they would step up.

I hear people touting Molina, which I don't have any problem with. But, Molina's style could possibly stink out the joint. Regardless, Molina (more than any other contender) deserves a shot at the throne. His style is a ****in Rubix cube, nobody can beat him convincingly.

My thoughts exactly. I hope the handler's of Maidana can see their folly before it's too late.

I want Maidana to face Rios at 140. Matthysse is the better fighter IMO, but if he doesn't face Rios, then Maidana should.

Maidana-Rios will never happen now due to them both being trained by Robert Garcia. Not to mention one promotion company (either Golden Boy or Top Rank) would not want to make that fight because it might not be in their plans for Rios or Maidana's career. Both sides have their own fighters at 140 that can be matched up against each other.
