Lopez Got Lucky

Lopez was gassed son he was ready to go he wouldn't have knocked anybody same thing Lopez did vs Vargas his conditioning would have let him down again and his eye was closing out this fight was on its way to being late TKO for OrtizThis is a really dumb thing to say, who's to say Lopez wouldn't have knocked him out during those last rds? How is he lucky... he landed a great shot on Ortiz's jaw and broke it. No different from a guy winning 9 rds straight and gets KO'd in the 10th, its not luck - it's boxing. Winning on cards when you haven't gone through the whole stretch doesn't make you a winner. It's really sad to see people not giving Lopez his full credit, he was a much smaller guy who made the bigger and stronger guy succumb to his injuries.Comment

Like the great Vin Diesel once said, "winning is winning." Lopez deserves all the credit in the world and Ortiz should get more respect than his getting for putting on a good show. All this silliness of people calling him a quitter because he chose not to continue with a BROKEN JAW needs to stop.Comment

When I hear people say Lopez beat Vargas, do they forget that Lopez gassed out and gave up the last 3 rounds. The fight was still up in the air too, unless they had Lopez way ahead which is weird to me. I thought Lopez was better skilled than Vargas, but Vargas' superior conditioning pulled him through. Disagree with bold though.Comment

lol wat? Lopez was tired his eye's were closing rewatch the late rounds he was done resting on the ropes noway in hell he would have done anything to Ortiz in those last rounds which is why I though that stoppage was ****** at the time.
I thought he won the fight because Jessie was tired as hell too backpeddling and couldn't even keep his hands up but it was a very close fight could have gone either wayWhen I hear people say Lopez beat Vargas, do they forget that Lopez gassed out and gave up the last 3 rounds.
