Both fighters were going tit for tat, but as the fight went on it was Ortiz breaking down mentally and running at times. It was Ortiz losing the psychological warfare, he was fooled into thinking Lopez had the strength and size to hang. When they rematch I expect another competitive fight that could go either way, I'd lean towards Lopez snatching his heart again.
Lopez was just holding in general as a spoiler tactic. He was holding even when he wasn't hit. I don't think there was ever time he held for dear life because he was hurt.

ortiz was winning the fight on the cards and if wouldn't have had a broken jaw he would have won

Why the angry expression?
Ortiz would have won if he would have stood in Joseito's chest the whole fight, but I guess he looks at himself as a good boxer, which clearly he isn't. He's better defensively as the aggressor, when he decides to move; box, guys tend to get back in the fight, look at the Peterson fight, thats another example.

I thought the opposite. IMO Ortiz traded way too often against a fighter who had much faster handspeed. I felt that when Ortiz actually boxed, Lopez looked very ordinary.
Victor was too macho, when he gets hit he has the heart of a lion and fights back instantly, almost like Nigel Benn. He needs to curb that instinct when he's the better boxer and fight to his strengths.
