    lmao

Cotto quit on his knee against his daddy Margarito and then quit against Pac mentally, lost to Clottey.
We are talking officially quitting, i am admitting in my post he quit in the margo fight, but the ref called it off (officially known as tko) against pac, and he didn't lose to Clottey, that's your opinion. And margo is no longer "cotto's daddy", as cotto retired him permanently, avenging that "controversial" loss to a guy that got banned for a year for attempting to use loaded gloves in another fight.

Tony was on his way to stop Cotto once again. Cotto didn't retire anyone. Margarito took the prime out of Cotto when he made him quit on his knee. Cotto's little baby punches did nothing but leave a mark on an already injured eye.

Off the top of my head.

        1. Roberto Duran to Ray Leonard
        2. Erik Morales to Manny Pacquaio
        3. Oscar De La Hoya to Manny Pacquaio
        4. Miguel Cotto to Antonio Margarito
        5. Devon Alexander to Timothy Bradley
        6. Rafeal Marquez to Juan Manuel Lopez
        7. Richardo Mayorga to Miguel Cotto
        8. Israel Vasquez to Rafael Marquez
        9. Vitali Klitschko to Chris Byrd
        10. Ray Robinson to Joey Maxim
        11. Kostya Tszyu to Ricky Hatton
        12. Marco Antonio Rubio to Kelly Pavlik
        13. Mike Tyson to Kevin McBride

Look at all these names, all have elected to stop a fight voluntarily, all in different circumstances. Yes other have fought through excatly what these fighters quit for but that is irreleavant, A fighter knows when he is done and no one wants to see them quit but some time it the best thing to do.
This is not a fair list or comparison to what Victor Ortiz had done against an over matched and outclassed opponent in Josesito Lopez (A last minute replacement opponent mind you). As a matter of fact, none of the names on your list were last minute replacement opponents. In any case, here's the deal; Victor was severely punishing and hurting Lopez in this fight when he decided he had enough and quit competing. In addition, Josesito absorbed a lot of hard punches from Ortiz in this contest; Even some dirty ones, (rabbit punches behind the neck) while both of his eyes being nearly shut and face badly swollen, yet he did not use this as an excuse to quit. Moreover, it seemed that at any given moment, Ortiz could've ended this fight with just one good combination of punches but didn't. He would just back away because of the courage Josesito Lopez had displayed in order to deter him. Also, for the exception of your selections 1, 9 and 10 all of those combatants you've mentioned on your list were either over matched or outclassed in those bouts.

Cotto was the last one to fight him. He retired after that. And again, it's your opinion that margo was going to win that fight. Learn the difference between fact and opinion.

I remember and interview with robert Garcia who use to train victoria ortiz. He said that ortiz had all The tools 2 be great. But didnt have The heart. He said that he quit in sparring sessions as well. Add that with The maidana fight lopez fight and trying to romance mayweather. not a good track record for miss ortiz. But why be so butt hurt bro. Everybody has there own fighters they like or dislike. And everybody has there own opinion

Fact isn't always right in boxing now is it? If it is I guess Bradley really did beat Pac.

Cotto doesn't have the ability to retire anyone. He's just a weak pawn on a bike when facing superior opponents. Margarito sonned him, now that's a fact.

Oh and if the fight with Canelo does come through, expect another knee to be taken.

Cotto beat him in their rematch, and he retired. Like i said, learn to discern fact from fiction....son.

If you want to create an 'I hate Ortiz' thread, just do it, but stop with the childish bullshit you're using as cover.

If it's about Mayweather then just face up to the fact Floyd suckerpunched him out of the fight while the referee wasn't looking, that isn't going to change no matter if Ortiz quits a thousand times.

Genaro Hernandez quitted twice. One of them against ODLH with a really bad broken nose. But case in point he quitted.
