I used to hype him up like 3 years ago and saw potential in him. Later on, I saw that he was getting caught up in this hype game and he was getting too big for his shorts. He talks about Bradley ducking him but he was always too scared to take on Prescott again saying Prescott had to earn a rematch. I mean, if you are that good, you should have no problem beating him in a rematch, it was probably a fluke loss in the first place.

Khan somehow thought of himself as this big star but he has gotten caught in a rut and his ego has gotten out of control. I think he will have a hard time with Garcia because he likely thinks that this kid has no chance. Maybe the kid should have no real chance but Khan will sleep on him because of that ego....it will be the end of him.

If he ever did fight Bradley, he would lose badly, he is fairly tough but not nearly tough as he would need to be to beat Tim.

i meant only from the defensive end. obviously i was exagerating to make a point. but that fight, more than anyone before made me realize how limited khan is.

i used to like khan, thought he was a nice guy who didnt deserve all the hate. idk if i was wrong or if he changed but now hes obviously a ****, so arrogant and fake. thats the worst part, alot of fighters are arrogant i dont mind that its just how phoney they guy is. playing that nice guy character when he feels like it then showing his true colors, being a dissrespectful self entitled ******* usually completely out of touch with reality.

i do respect him though, you have to be a tough guy with alot of dicipline to reach this level in boxing. that alone deserves respect, that hes also come to the US and fought the best is even more impressive. he couldve sat around in brittain and made good money defending a paper title against easy oposition but he didnt want that, he wanted to be the best. he did it when he was young too, shows his legacy means more to him than money. ofcourse he made good money in the process and its well deserved.

i think hes a bit overrated as a fighter though, but more or less all entertaining fighters are somewhat overrated. ppl like to watch them fight so they build them up in their head. hes also alot better than some ppl give him credit for, like garcias dad for example lol.

His struggles against both Peterson and Maidana was a testament to his piss poor footwork, inability to fight inside and defense. Take his defense for example, it consist solely of running/ covering up, he rarely ever gets under punches or moves his head.

It's no coincidence that a shot Morales, for a large portion of the fight, looked so much better against Maidana than Khan did. Or how about Alexander winning every round against Maidana? That speaks volumes man.
Khan was never expected to run through Maidana almost half the posters of NSB were predicting a Maidana KO. Maidana has lost a step since the Khan fight, back in 2010 he was coming off big KO wins over Ortiz and Cayo and many posters on this site were claiming he was the best at 140. All the accumulated punishment from the Khan fight took miles off of him and thats he why looked bad vs Morales and he didn't carry his power to 147 vs Devon who just clinched him to victory. Maidana has never been the same fighter since the Khan fight, 12 rounds of eating fast volume punches along with a crippling bodyshot will take a lot out of you.

I was dissapointed at how Khan struggled with Peterson but still thought he clearly won. Also look at the fight night weight HBO shows prior to the fighter entrances. Peterson came into the ring at 155 lbs that night and only came into the ring at 147 lbs vs Bradley and Ortiz. It was def. a bigger man that Amir fought. I'd like to see a rematch at WW because I think Amir can win easily if they're on the level, could be wrong though.

I think Khan is quoted out of context a lot. But he always says something ****** in his interviews that overshadows everything he said before. He's only 25 and has 2-3 yrs to improve. If he can learn to better handle himself vs pressure fighters he can be a force. He doesn't really have to fight on the inside so much as learn how to fight on the backfoot.

It's hard to look good against someone being that negative. McCloskey is a negative fighter but never that negative.

But Khan did what he had to do and won every round until the stoppage.

Most fans just hate for no other reason than the boxer's race or religion. Not to mention his association, with Roach, for example, or Paq-man. In reality if you are a real fan, there's very little to hate on Khan. He's been fighting the competition that needed to be fought. Marques ducked Khan. Bradly ducked Khan....

I've never "hated" on Khan. I think he's a talented fighter that doesn't utilize all of his talents (think that has to do with his trainer). The thing that rubs me the wrong way concerning Khan is how he whines so much, THAT I don't like.
