Hahaha laughing my a$$ off at people saying Garcia is speaking the TRUTH. Actually he is just giving his opinion. He is a boxer, not a doctor with X RAY vision. How could he possibly know if Ortiz's jaw was smashed or not?

          real boxers dont quit!!!

Im no fighter but i know one thing if you are not willing to die in the ring then you dont belong in the ring. boxing is a very dangerouse sport you can die at any time once you step in that ring!!

fernando vargas had a beoken jaw when he faught javier castijello
          and did not quit.

arturro gatti well we we all know gatti

muhammed ali broken jaw and still finished!!!

          any many others!!!!

if you have quit in you then you dont belong in the ring i know it sounds bad but this is boxing....

you play other sports but you cant play boxing!!!

It's funny because everyone is ragging on Ortiz because other boxers continued through the fight with similar injuries, but on the other hand, all the other boxers that pull out of fights because of tendonitis, pulled muscles, training injuries - none of them get ragged on as hard as Ortiz.

Pulling out of a fight because you are not at 100% BEFORE the fight is acceptable, as no one wants any excuses once the fighters are in the ring. Quitting while IN the fight is not as acceptable, because part of being in that ring is showing commitment to accomplish the task at hand, or atleast see it through to the end.

How many fIghters have had To retire in the ring ? The list is long and filled with some of the baddest fighters on the planet. Mikey Garcia has a personal beef with Ortiz so be it but it's always the same, people come out of the woodwork to question someone's courage. You know why these fighters quit? Cause this is tough sport that tests your heart and physically pushes people to their limits. Punks that talk smack should shut their mouths and enjoy the battle or get in their and try it yourself

                    Not surprising.
True. Just a bunch of sour g****s. One poster even said that Ortiz hadn't quit, that it was his corner that stoped the fight. Afterwards ofcourse after getting owned, the poster changed his story and kept backing Ortiz's decision after trying to make excuses for him. The poster was dude called Wheeler2 or something.
