Lucas Matthysse just showed why Khan picked Peterson

Khan will move up instead, anyway, so it's a moot point.

Matthysse meanwhile will beat the piss out of whoever stands in his way.

I think Matthyse is good, and has huge power no doubt, but you need to be there very close for him to land his hooks consistently. I guess if Khan surives, then I can see him jabbing and winning quite a lot of rounds because Matthyse is quite easy to hit.

However I totally feel Khan has gained better punch resistance at 140. He had to get naked to make 135 and he was at that weight since he was a teen. For a guy who is 5 10, I feel 140/147 is perfect for him.

I will say he will be a champ because people have gone 147. Maidana, Bradley, Alexander etc...

I don't care about Khan's punch resistance, you're still underrating Matthyse's power. He just put a guy on his ass who'd never been there before in 69 pro fights against some pretty hard punchers as well, and watching him struggle to even get up afterwards was enough to force his corner to stop the fight.

But again, we're arguing a moot point because it's a fight that won't happen since Khan has plans to move up in weight.

True but he didn't put Judah and Alexander out who I considered better 140 fighters. However yeah he did beat Soto down good in a good war.
