By Jake Donovan - There were no issues at the scales on Friday afternoon, as all four fighters appearing on this weekend's SHOWTIME doubleheader made weight for their respective bouts. The show takes place at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Local welterweights Victor Ortiz (146.5 lb) and Josesito Lopez (144.75) both came well within the limit for their 12-round bout, which headlines the card. At stake for Ortiz (29-3-2, 22KO) is a September 15 showdown with unbeaten 154 lb. titlist Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
