Except for the Morales fight, none of these fights draw 10000 people, so the Cowboys' Stadium idea Arum was promoting was hot air from the beginning.

If you've never seen the kid, there's no reason to call him a bum. He's not established; it wouldn't be the first or the last time a fighter that isn't established is better than advertised (Richard Abril for one).
I understand that it's fashionable to bash Arum these days. Business-wise, Morales/JMM would have been the most lucrative pick for Top Rank. Rios is another one. JMM wanted none of them. Arum would have been amenable to a Gesta alternative.

And Marques did indeed pick Gesta eventually. Problem was JMM demanded a price equivalent to a huge Morales event. Cowboy stadium + unknown Gesta doesn't add up to the ridiculous amount of money JMM was demanding.

There are good unestablished boxers out there that are better than advertised like Abril but Sabaupan isn't one of them.

Sabaupan is a prospect that failed in his first step up fight against Quintero. At this point, Sabaupan has no business fighting an elite fighter like JMM.

                Round 9 Sabaupan v Quintero

Marquez Going In To Scared, P**** Mode!

JMM is scared to fight Morales. He saw judges steal Pacquiao's belt away, and Marquez is afraid he can't dominate or KO this young no-named fighter. He's banking on nothing except a 4th paycheck from Pacquiao then walk away from Boxing. This is why JMM is pricing himself out of fights (Gesta, Morales). It's all about one more massive payday; it's not about beating Pacquiao. Just like Tim Bradley. I'm losing respect for JMM.
