Wish Donaire would have found a way out, we're gonna miss out on Donaire vs. Moreno or Mares

Gamboa can fight someone like Mendez, Vazquez, or Beltran late this year. Than, fight Salgado in the Spring 2013. Than, fight Broner late in the summer or early fall 2013.
Mid-Late 2013 seems to make sense, I think that is more then enough time for each fighter to build up more of a Buzz for Themselves especially Broner

And Donaire-Rigondeaux too......oh wait they're with the same Promotional team......oh well.

I like Donaire's unification with Mathebula, but if he leaves 122 without fighting Nishioka and Rigondeaux, that's sad. I'll excuse him not fighting Mares and Moreno, because of the Top Rank-Golden Boy beef, but even then I don't know. Top Rank should use Todd to negotiatie with Golden Boy, so we can see some of the big fights that we haven't gotten to see.

I want the Donaire-Rigo fight as well, but remember I said this, if those two do end up fighting, it won't be easy on the eyes. Stylistically they don't match up well, two predominant counter punchers going at it

I'd bet my account on Rigondeaux beating him. Hopefully Rigo at least gets fights with Molitor, Ndlovu, Shimoda, or other guys in the Top 10. It would put more and more pressure on Arum to make that fight. But they see Donaire as the next Cash Cow, along with Chavez, once Pac retires. I highly doubt Arum risks him with Rigo, a fight he can very easily lose.

Then again, I'm shocked Arum looks to be maing Chavez-Sergio a reality. Maybe Chavez plans on leaving Top Rank.....who knows???

Frankly, I'm amazed this all got sorted out so quickly. Like I said, all the facts aren't in; but if it's true that Gamboa's contract was bought out, it was by someone with deep pockets and big faith in Yuri's boxing future.

What pressure??? Arum didnt make Gamboa-Lopez and imo also had a hand in not making May-Pac..... Arum does whats he pleases regardless of public demand

He's gonna be someone else's big win. 30 years old, still terrible on D, and can't draw (and won't).

Top Rank wasn't doing much with him but I don't know why everyone is sold GBP would. They have Lara and Moreno and are doing nothing to build them into foes for their stars.
