Everyone is assuming that Chavez vs Martinez is done. It's not! The last time I heard, Martinez was demanding OST and Chavez was rejecting it. If Martinez is smart, he won't back off this demand. This may, or may not, kill the fight.

GBP needs to change the date. It all boils down to one simple thing

Which PPV are people more likely to watch? Chavez-Martinez has been wanted by the boxing public for a good year now. Canelo-Ortiz is nice but it's not as good as Chavez-Martinez

Well they're in for a rude awakening. More people are going to buy Martinez Chavez. That fight means more.

My thoughts exactly... Also, if I end up buying the Canelo vs Ortiz fight instead, it's because I'm a fan of Ortiz not Canelo... Ortiz may have quit with Maidana, but he made up for it with Berto... And he may have headbutted Money May, but tbh, he shouldn't have been in the ring with Money May to begin with... Like Tupac said, If Ortiz didn't want to get knocked out he shouldn't have stepped in the ****in ring...

As soon as Canelo lands that one two its over on the other hand chavez and Martinez are gonna go to war. These two young lions are both good enough said they both have beat there competition and the opponents are all well ranked within the divisions
Floyd fought Genero Hernandez and JLC at 130 and 135. Both were the 2 best in their division. So if your gonna hate at least make sense while hating.

Fan friendly? He has multiple rounds where he throws less than 30 punches. You call that fan friendly?

Bob's greed will be placed on parade as he will not desire to share the spotlight as he approaches his ancient years.

In addition, as good as Ortiz can be when pushed, he is still a questionable opponent for Saul.
He still needs to get past Lopez and in this strange period and phase of judging, a victory is not a given.

Martinez/ Chavez Jr. could be truly dramatic stuff in the age of a Tim Bradley.

I would like to more clearly understand what you mean by the emboldened phrases above.

                  Would you care to elaborate?

I read on fighthype that Martinez isn't looking for the testing anymore. I agree with you tho, thats a bad decision

The steroid issue will linger until he agrees to at least give a sample at some point. Also, if Ortiz loses does that mean that Canelo will have to find another opponent for the 15th. And if CHaves doesn't take a steroid test will that put an end to his fight.

We may be deciding which college football game we are going to be watching that night if that's true.

But seriously can someone please explain to me "If Ortiz loses what does that mean for his fight with Canelo?" That's all I want to know.
