Hmmm that's because Chavez is the only one who is actually bigger than Martinez. He's in the same division, has a belt that he won illegitimately and has yet to beat an elite fighter. That's why he gets more hate.

Chavez is in his weight class unlike the guys you mentioned. Chavez isn't a star also like the guys you mentioned. Martinez is 1st in line for his old title back which Chavez has... none of the guys you listed got a gift belt from Martinez being stripped for no other reason than to give it to Chavez. Chavez has everything to gain and nothing to lose in a Martinez fight... if he loses he still gets atleast some respect. Martinez wants the Chavez fight over all the other fights or he would be at 154lbs getting in line for Mayweather's belt.

I'll give props for Chavez actually fighting Lee but I'll give him even more if he beats Lee and finally faces Martinez. Chavez looked fine at the weigh in and he'll rehydrate to around 180, so what? Ortiz rehydrated 17lbs against Mayweather and Canelo gains about 16lbs. if Chavez can do it so be it.

as for Martinez nobody with anything to lose is going to fight him anytime soon. Mayweather won't risk losing, he won't even fight Martinez at 150, let alone 154. Pacquiao doesn't want to venture back up into 154 land and a loss could derail Chavez.

I really hope Chavez mans up and fights Martinez. I think he wants to, just as a man having pride I think he wants to. it's just Bob Arum, he knows Martinez will tax that a55.

I got Chavez by late KO against Lee. Chavez has a decent chin and Lee fades late.
