Getting punched doesn't necessarily "hurt". I've been punched a lot, boxing or street fighting, rarley do I get hurt tho, well if i'm punched in the head. I'll have to watch the fight more close this saturday in the 12th and see for myself

I got ya....you really think Taylor is going to go on and become better than one of the top 5 MWs ever?? I don't as a matter of fact I think he gets beat in his first title defense or second if he fights a nobody in his hometown and never becomes champ again with lacy around in the upper divisions because he has to move up eventually.

No, of course he won't be a top 5 MW ever but the fact is, 5 years older and fighting Hopkins the fight will be the same. Same goes with Hopkins, he will always have trouble with a style like Taylors.

If Taylor had that much trouble with Hopkins now then I don't see him beating a younger Hopkins. The Hopkins that beat down Joppy for 12 rounds would of had a pretty easy time with Taylor. He threw more combinations and started around the second and third rounds after feeling out the first round.

The Hopkins that beat up Holmes and Tito in 2001 would of had an easier time. A younger Hopkins would of put on the type of beating he put on Taylor in the last rounds of the first fight but with more combinations throughout the fight. Also Hopkins punches had more snap to them a few years ago then they do now.

Taylor has the style to beat the Hopkins of now but his style is suited for a younger Hopkins.
