WHAT THE HELL DOES A WIN OVER VICTOR "HEAD BUTT" ORTIZ do for Alvarez?
Victor spent most of his career at LWW, Beat hypejob Berto a WW and didnt have enough in his arsenal to beat Floyd... Also this dudes been out gunned an had his soul taken from him by Maidana..
Come on yall, really? Alvarez should be fighting someone else considering the hype around him..
Ortiz has put 10k in Staples Center before, he's been on TV forever, 24/7, PPV.... in terms of boxing, he's actually been on a higher level than Canelo ever has. He's young and mex-American and the PPV date will be marketed as Mexican Independence weekend. I don't see many other who fit the bill as perfect as Victor.

PS. Before the Kirkland-Canelo fight he was schedule to fight Hernandez, once the Kirkland fight fell through he was in line for the "mandatory" spot.
