I dont see why everyone's mad about Ortiz coming up in weight. Pay more attention to the fighter's natural weight or the ring weight on fight night. He was 164 against Floyd. That's even heavier than Canelo has been coming in. These are my two favorite active fighters and I've been watching them for years. This is going to be an awesome ass fight that I think Vic will take.
Wtf is all this *****ing about Ortiz being a welterweight? didn't paquiao the p4p fight a Jr welterweight? And before that fought a fuc!**g old lighweight?????
I really don't seeing this being a huge challenge, maybe in a challenge for his chin but besides that I don't see a Huge challenge wise of boxing. Alvarez has huge power and good speed.... Saying that I do not see Ortiz out boxing Alvarez. Ortiz has raw power but is lacking with the best in the speed area.
This fight will most likely end by KO, For Alvarez if he speeds up his action in this fight. I could see I slight, small chance Ortiz could win this fight; that is by pure aggression.
Are you an idiot or something? Who is talking about Cotto and Floyd is the cash cow that agreed with going up in weight. You are dumb as rocks but can't see further than you repetitive agenda.
Mr Fantastic is right thats exctly what Cotto did....so if you Newyorican wanna judge Canelo for that, than let us be fair and do the same to you. Besides GBP issue an offer to Cotto to fight Canelo on Sep. 15 and Cotto decline saying he was taking the rest of the year off, thats not Canelos fault that a fight with a credible 154 punder such as Cotto, was made.
I very much look forward to seing what happens when Ortiz lands a bomb on Alvarez's chin.
This isn't Shane Mosley who will throw pitty-pat punches, Ortiz throws every punch with bad intentions and one will land. If Saul can take clean shots from a big hitter, he's got it all.
