His opponent fought scared and himself didn't throw many punches in what was one of most boring hw fights this year. Suffice to say, Solis did nothing to market himself to the boxing public, let alone get the Klitschko people interested in him..
this is how I see it^

Right! Öner should not rush Solis into a Klitscho fight again, Solis needs more bouts to earn the shot and lose weight but i guess Öner wants hm to put in against old fading Vitali instead of his jounger fresher brother Wlad.

He beat airich for a WBC regional title which gave him top 10. He beat ray Austin for the title shot. I'd rather see solis or haye rather then see charr get a shot.

Solis is "world class?" Are you kidding me? Have you watched any of his professional bouts? More importantly, did you watch his last fight against Airich?

Solis' notable victories are against a faded Monte Barrett and B-level hw Ray Austin - that's not world class. Coupled with that, Solis rarely fights and he looked like utter **** in his last outing. Before that, he blew himself out in one round against Vitali.

Ever since Solis broke onto the hw scene, posters here have grossly overrated the guy because of his amateur background. I don't need to say it but maybe it's worth pointing out: successful amateur careers don't always translate into success in the pro ranks.

I just don't see why its ok for the Klits to fight certain inexperienced fighters and not another even though he has better skills and potential. Solis is as deserving as anyone and more talented than just about everyone.
Based on his last performance Solis is not deserving of a title shot. There is no way the current version of Solis beats any of the top up-and-coming hw crowd like Price, Pulev, Helenius, Mitchell, et al.

Stop fucking overrating this guy already...

In today's watered down division of unskilled fighters Solis is most definitely world class. And please don't try and say Solis couldn't beat Helenius if Chisora did. All in all though, how does any of this make him a worse opponent than Charr, who is a nobody on the world level? Like I said earlier, there aren't 5 other heavyweights outside the Klits who are better than Solis. You're judging him on one comeback fight where he probably wanted to get rounds in a test his knee.

Well with Solis, you know what you're gonna get - a guy who has good boxing skills but who will come into the fight out shape and there just for the paycheck. You don't reward guys like that with title shots. The fans don't want to see another blow out.

With Manuel Charr, he's unproven but he comes into fights in decent shape and like to brawl it out. Also, I'm not sure if Solis' resume is that much better than Charr's. I haven't seen too many of his fights but he has some wins over numerous B-level opposition as does Solis.

I won't argue to strongly with this assessment. I just see far more potential and upside with Solis than I do Charr. My feeling is he is being brought in to make Vitaly look good in his last fight where as Solis has the ability (if he came in shape) to make him look bad in spots. I honestly wouldn't pick either to beat him.
