That's exactly the reason I talk crap about Pacquiao with his "good" deeds. Tired of the 90% of whack Pac fans hating on Floyd for every good thing he does outside of the ring.
Like that time he put a vicious beating on his girlfriend in front of his kids. Then told them he'd beat them senseless if they told. Classic Mayweather

Some people are reckless when it comes to spending. Alot of people call me cheap because I budget my money.

My whole theory is if MC Hammer, Tyson, and Iverson can go broke, so can I.

My other theory is it's not how much you make, but how much you spend.

You could be making 30 k a year, but if you're only spending 15k a year and saving 15k in the bank, you might be better off than someone making 80k a year and spending 75k a year.
I think there's a flaw somewhere. I can't see that living at a level of $15,000 is better, or even close to the way life would be at a $75,000 level. The one saving might be that a $15 thou lifestyle is not expected to join and partake of more expensive pastimes.

It's just hard to think about squandering so much money...but hey, people get caught up in "the life" I guess...
We know that he's a fool, because of his 11 children and his huge (won't call it a house) edifice. I don't recall who his promoter was during his main money-making years. If it was Don King, then we know where most of the money went.

An accountant you can trust and an honest friend to remind you to keep it real. Something most of these boxers need.

he was making 20-30 million \fight when he was undisputed & that's just the purse not including PPV money. he squandered over 400 million. he gets what he deserves...

Unfortunately retired boxers with money are rare. It amazing to think Tyson, Holyfield and Bowe have nothing. DLH, Lennox and Foreman are loaded but they are the exception rather than the rule.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd and Pac broke at some stage.

Maybe some sort of superannuation, pension fund is needed. Take 10% of all purses and invest it and you can't get it til your 50 or something.

What's even more absurd is that when Holyfield brought that house, the bank actually only had to have 1+% of the value loaned on the books. But he's on the hook for the full amount and the house is sold underpriced in a down-turning housing market.

Imagine how much money he actually paid for that house, Principal + Interest. Shame so many get scammed by this corrupt banking system ...
