Morales was Super Bantamweight for most of Hamed's career.
The deal that Marquez turned down was the deal where he only had a 1 month training camp.

That doesn't matter. They were all in range. And Hamed was a name.

There are no fighters more attractive than over-hyped fighters with a name.

If Pacquaio had gone from Flyweight to Featherweight in the mid nineties to fight Hamed he would have been knocked out cold.

I don't care how good he has become. He is an ATG but he had no business fighting Hamed at that stage.

I don't know about that. Pacquiao has proven his heart over and over again. What has Hamed proven?

Hamed's defense was good, but Pacquiao throws a lot of power punches.

And his power was good- against lesser fighters. But with a determined elite fighter like barrera it didn't do anything.

Hamed brought the glamour to the featherweight division, drew the big crowds and was a star.

There is no way Hamed gets treated how he did by his home fans and media if he was American.

The criticism Hamed got in the press for the Calvo fight was a joke, he fought intelligently less reliant on his power and hardly got tagged all night.

The correct change in style for a Barrera rematch.

I think also Hamed got too comfortable, he had the money and thought to himself that he don't need this anymore.

Barrera fought a smart fight. The perfect fight. Would a young Pacquaio fight in the same way? No chance.

His power was better than good. He knocked out various World champions.

His defense wasn't all that. It was more he had an elusive style which made him difficult to hit.

Race to one side, is arrogance ever fully supported?

Floyd Mayweather isn't fully supported, same goes for other trash-talkers in the sport. There are those out there that don't like Carl Froch because they see him as arrogant. US fans think Khan is arrogant. Chris Eubank was another who wasn't liked by many on account of arrogance.

I don't really think Hamed fell into that bracket however, he actually had a lot of support, over 10 million British people used to tune into his fights. He was a showman first and foremost and most people recognised and appreciated that.

I just haven't seen anything from Hamed that suggests to me he would last 12 rounds against any version of Pacquiao.
