Seriously people are NOW overrating Barrera's win over Naz, He outclass Naz by fighting him on the outside, boxing him and tying him up, He respect Naz's power and you can see in the way he fought naz, He probably got hit a couple of times with power-shots because he didnt want to engage Naz like he did Morales, So to see this "Barrera took his soul" myth shows how people don't really know much about boxing, they just jump on the bandwagon of what to say and run with it.

Hatton won most of his fights outside Britain (6 of 8) he only lost to two PFP #1 fighters and one of them under questionable officiating.

Reason is this, Hamed was shook after Barrea. Hamed started to think he was this elite fighter who can clown and KO people with ease and that no one can truly take his power. ENTER Barrea, Barrea was looked at as elite but the bottom the elite, so they took the fight Thinking he will be easy to catch and KO since Barrea like to engage. What happened was Barrea didnt engage and boxed and took away Hamed only chance to win and was his power. YOu see hamed in that fight smiling, shaking his head every time he went back to the corner. He was in disbelief that he can land. HE knew the competition on gets harder after that. So he took one more fight so he can set up his excuse on why he retired, instead of having the moniker of Barrea retired him.

Wasnt a bullied fight where he got outclassed and whooped, he just got exposed to himself that his power cant help him in the fight.

Honestly, the entire fight was bizaare. I'll let you know why. Barrera REQUESTED NEW GLOVES, the commission approved Barrera's request and they were flown in last minute.

Naseem looked clearly truly bothered coming into the ring. He didn't do the usual flip over the top rope as if he already knew his schtick had been exposed.

In that fight Naseem did not demonstrate the level of punching power seen in his entire career despite landing numerous seemingly flush shots on Barrera. He never even fazed Barrera.

Naz did have 1 last fight which he won,im no naz fan but he did face some stiff opposition and he carried a tremendous punch for a little guy his defended his title 15 times which puts him 17th in the category of most title defences thru out the history of the sport,that in itself is quite an achievement,i think nazs hands were becoming a big problem for him in the later part of his career they say after his fights theyd cut the glove off because his hands were so swollen,i think that combined with his character and wealth he just walked away and rightly so,barreras a beast no doubt thru legend but i really believe a motivated naz would have done alot better that night he underestimated the babyface and paid the price.
