Wtf are you talking about? he answered a factual question on his career and his life, bias on his part doesn't come into it.Originally posted by shinya aokiand you don't think hamed isn't bias? how ****** are you?
You can claim he's lying and your made up reasons are the real reasons, if that's what you choose to do then knock yourself out and have fun with it. I'll stick to the fighter's own word.Last edited by Weebler I; 06-07-2012, 02:41 PM.Comment

Yeah, like the Princess is going to come out and admit he was really a fraud.....even though it's the truth. Of course he's going to make excuses.Wtf are you talking about? he answered a factual question on his career and his life, bias on his part doesn't come into it.

Reason is this, Hamed was shook after Barrea. Hamed started to think he was this elite fighter who can clown and KO people with ease and that no one can truly take his power. ENTER Barrea, Barrea was looked at as elite but the bottom the elite, so they took the fight Thinking he will be easy to catch and KO since Barrea like to engage. What happened was Barrea didnt engage and boxed and took away Hamed only chance to win and was his power. YOu see hamed in that fight smiling, shaking his head every time he went back to the corner. He was in disbelief that he can land. HE knew the competition on gets harder after that. So he took one more fight so he can set up his excuse on why he retired, instead of having the moniker of Barrea retired him.
Wasnt a bullied fight where he got outclassed and whooped, he just got exposed to himself that his power cant help him in the fight.Comment

Barerra was Hamed's greatest opponent to date. The fight was in the mecca of boxing las vegas. Hamed's first visit there. You add his ridiculous & utterly conceited ****** entrance celebration & you're going to tell me the reason why he lost was because he wasnt motivated enough?

Only delusional dishonest nationalistic ******s would believe such a thing.Comment

Naz did have 1 last fight which he won,im no naz fan but he did face some stiff opposition and he carried a tremendous punch for a little guy his defended his title 15 times which puts him 17th in the category of most title defences thru out the history of the sport, that in itself is quite an achievement,i think nazs hands were becoming a big problem for him in the later part of his career they say after his fights theyd cut the glove off because his hands were so swollen,i think that combined with his character and wealth he just walked away and rightly so,barreras a beast no doubt thru legend but i really believe a motivated naz would have done alot better that night he underestimated the babyface and paid the price.Seriously, that beating was not even that bad. Barrera won by 3-4 rounds. wow. big deal.
Did Barrera expose something else that wasn't talked about in public?
Honestly, the entire fight was bizaare. I'll let you know why. Barrera REQUESTED NEW GLOVES, the commission approved Barrera's request and they were flown in last minute.
Naseem looked clearly truly bothered coming into the ring. He didn't do the usual flip over the top rope as if he already knew his schtick had been exposed.
In that fight Naseem did not demonstrate the level of punching power seen in his entire career despite landing numerous seemingly flush shots on Barrera. He never even fazed Barrera.Comment

It wasn't me who said that. Hamed was on the slide professionally but was beaten by a better boxer on the night.Barerra was Hamed's greatest opponent to date. The thread is about why he retired, but he didn't quit after Barrera, he won another title and beat Calvo.
It was clear though he had lost the thing that made him special, his power.Comment

Defend Naz? Yea ok, more like people overrating Barrera's win over the overrated Naz...The same Barrera that show enough respect to the overrated Naz by boxing him and refusing to engage him in any war, I dont need to defend anything, I don't give a toss what nationality any boxer is, But this myth of Barrera destorying Naz or retiring Naz is laughable, Naz was done way>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> before he even step in the ring with Barrera, You can only see this if you follow boxing back then, Not following bandwagons now.Comment
