How do you rank Hector Camacho's 28 year career

    79-6-3

    His notable wins are against:

    Jose Luis Ramirez
    Rosario
    Boza-Edwards
    Davis Jr
    Boom Boom Mancini
    Paz
    Haugen arguable x2

I don't think the Duran and Leonard wins count for obvious reasons.

It seems he never won the big one (i.e DLH, Trinidad and Chavez).

Overall, how do you rank his record?

Good career. Could make a case for the HOF IMO although I wouldn't vote for him personally.

Fought on for way too long.

    Incredibly fast hands

      That's how I feel.

He's just so borderline with everything. He has the stats, but when you look at his career, I think those losses to Chavez, Trinidad and DLH were the make or break fights.

If he wins those fights it puts a whole new light on things.

By the time he fought all those guys ya l mentioned especially ODLH and Trinidad(this was at his 4th weight class) he was past prime and not the same fighter he was in the 80's....a tell tell sign was losing to better than Average Greg Haugen. A fight with Chavez should have went off years before 1992.....they campaigned in the same weight class or 5 pounds apart for years when both were in their prime and undefeated.

Hector Camacho is a hall of famer...had a time where he was the 1st or 2nd best fighter in the world and has a better resume than alot of guys in the Hall

He's wasn't a good fighter, he was a GREAT fighter. I hated his mouth and his act but man was he fast and skilled.

Camacho was one of those classic underachievers. If he would have taken his entire career seriously, he could have been the best PR ever had to offer.

i just caught his fight on ESPN Classics last night against Vinny Pazienza .... from 1990

I must admit, growing up, I didn't really like him. That's mainly because my dad's influence - he was a huge JCC fan.

But now when I watch him, i definitely appreciate the skills.

his son, on the other hand... forget about it.... bet ya guys didn't know that he has two fights schedule for this year. in June and September.

His son was a bigger waste of talent....he had all the skills, but didnt have the dedication

I agree, he was a slickster. But my uncle did tell me that PR boxers let fame get to their head the minute they make it to the top.

Well, considering Camacho stole his wardrobe from the Village People.....
