When news broke out I was more angry than I was sympathetic, but one has to understand that it's his life. Just tired of seeing athletes ride those things, like my head can't even reach that phase.

Things happen in life, my Uncle was driving a big SUV when his car crashed crippling him from the neck down before he died a few weeks later. Someone I grew up with crippled himself from the neck down riding a push bike.

It is incredibly ****** to focus on the fact that Paul Williams was riding a motorbike.

These things are so common in D.R, if I ended up in a Hospital due to a motorcycle accident and I was found to be alright, I could see my whole family looking over me calling me ****** or wishing I ended up disabled, not necessarily meaning it but expressing that type of anger towards me. So it's understandable and I do see where your coming from to some extent. Just that Paul Williams was the kind of fighter I couldn't find a reason to dislike him for, fought hard every time, made no excuses, generally a cool dude

            Pls read this story...

History is replete with similar stories of miraculous recovery due to determination and faith.

If Paul says he will ride again, I believe him. I hope all his love ones, friends, and boxing fans give him all the support he needs to accomplish a miracle.

I'm gonna go back in saying that "It's Paul Williams' life". Your definitely right here. Just an emotional subject, really hard to think this out.

Mad??? Not one bit...i mean EVERYONE didnt care where and what paul williams was doing before he was even mentioned to fight alvarez. Lets face it he was not a fighter in his prime. You want to be mad at someone be mad at Salvador Sanchez..this guy was IN his prime, had just beaten gomez and what did he do?? Crash his porshe. So no it doesnt bother me that williams is not fighting alvarez

Every man who pass his bike test and loves bikes, has a right to ride.

We all make our own choices in life, it's no different for people in the public eye.

Look after yourself and your choices in life and let others do the same.

Good luck to Paul Williams, his positive response is inspirational.

you are pissed off at him? what happened to paul williams is a tragedy. it's nothing to hate him for.

First off society did not give him the bike, he bought it himself. Do we even know if he has a dl for a motor bike (I recall Diego Corrales did not have the proper dl for a bike)? I have not heard yes or no? Your confusing morality with legality. What's is legal is not always moral and vice versa, and I don't get your point your confusing mistakes and legality. Your saying that if society views something as a mistake then is should be illegal? That is downright illogical, mistakes and laws are completely different things.

Plus you never answered my questions. Here we go again with a straw man argument. Freedom to do what we want. My point is there is nothing as complete freedom someone always has to pay for it.

So your point is Paul made his own choice, if he does not have health insurance who should pay for his care? If the same thing happened to you and you made your own choice who should pay for your care?

Since Paul made his own choice and since Paul will never be able to work again who should pay to feed his children? Who should help pay to put a roof over their heads? And if the same thing happened to you who should pay to feed your kids and help pay to put a roof over their heads?
Just answer these questions and where does freedom come into it all. Freedom is meaningless when you are starving or u have no place to live?

So should society help Paul and his family out even though he made his own decision?
