I was not impressed with Trout at all and that is not a performance that will land a fight with Canelo. I was falling asleep watching that fight.

It would be unfair since most of them fought better opposition than Canelo, why should he be on a pedestal?

Trout will force Canelo to increase his punch output and press the action. Alvarez has never faced a slick southpaw as skilled as Trout so you can't judge how he will attack Trout based on how he's fought against stationary stiffs like Mosley, Cintron, Hatton, and Gomez. If he sits back and waits for Trout he won't win the fight.

But anyways, my point was still that Trout vs Canelo will be a competitive entertaining fight got lost. Just because Trout/Rodriguez was a borefest doesn't mean Trout/Canelo will be.

If that happens Canelo will gass in the fight, remember his latest fights, Canelo puts to much force in his punches, that's why he's not that active, if he fought like that all the rounds, he will be gassed by the 6 round.

Trout does deserve the fight he's one the best Jr Middleweights in the World, and he will beat Rosado very easy.

Also on his resume, 6'2 Southpaw David "Destroyer" Lopez is better than Delvin Rodriguez, that was the toughest opponent for Trout and he beat him in Mexico and convincingly, Lopez couldn't do anything to Trout in the entire fight.

And Trout shut down and tool with Canelo's brother in his hometown something Nobuhiro Ishida couldn't do it, that could give the fight a pretty good revenge angle.

Your only as good as your last fight.

Rosado Lara and Molina put up betr performances. I yawned bout ten times last night during the fight he probably deserves a canelon fight but not a ppv fight

Hell there has already been at least 3 fighters involved in eliminators for ginger while ginger beat on no-hopers. Now people want more tourney's to compete for ginger while they pick yet another lightweight or old shot fighter for him to feast on?? Wow.

Exactly. Trout just beat Rodriguez whose ranked:

#5 by the WBA
#7 by the WBC

Plus, he's the WBA champion. He shouldn't have to go through a tournament on top of that. Plus you could argue Rodriguez should be a part of the tournament.
