The fight was in Mexico and Televisa showed it, Trout was marvelous in that fight, versus one the most dangerous and most avoided Jr Middleweights in the world.
Also search for his fight with Rigoberto Alvarez, the super middleweight brother of Canelo, they way he outclasses the bigger Alvarez was great too
Those 2 fights were in Mexico and were shown by Televisa, Trout made me a fan with those fights

What are you talking about?
Rigoberto all of his career was a Super Middleweight, but he couldn't make it in that division, and they search for chances of good fights with him, so that's why he went to the Middleweights and now Jr Middleweight.
And he's clearly bigger than Canelo, height wise and in build
And about David Lopez, yes he was the most avoided Jr Middleweight, at the time that Trout gave him the chance to fight for a World Title fight.
And yes he has 11 losses, but 10 of them were at the beginning of his career and the other one now thanks to Trout, check his record.
He hasn't lost since 2005 and was on a 16 win streak, before getting his Title Shot in Mexico versus Trout.
And here Rigoberto Alvarez, Canelo, and Austin Trout

Whitaker didn't do much hugging and I thought he was an exciting fighter the way he made people miss was pretty entertaining. You have to look at the styles clash between Trout and Rodriguez, like Molina-Kirkland. When have you seen Molina hug so much before hand? But, people who never seen Molina in the past just go by the Kirkland fight and think that's just the way he fights. But, they're wrong with that assessment.
