Technically, I have a fan base.

I'm talking about a fan base capable of generating mass views/buys.

Have they sold tickets yet? If not, all is not lost and the fight can still be made in November.

Listen, if they can feed us Canelo-Mosley, they will have no problem feeding us Canelo-Kirkland in November.

But still, why try to fight an injured Kirkland in the first place?
Top Rank has dibs on the month of the PPV of October and November...Just like Golden Boy every year had dibs on the PPV of September....Golden Boy is not moving from Mexican Independence Day weekend. It just will not happen, that weekend is proven to bring in PPV buys more often than not.

Why fight an injured Kirkland? Because, it's an injured Kirkland, less risk for Canelo. I thought that was kind of obvious no?

I'll say about 100 000 fans will buy the event, but since Miami is the unofficial hacking information of the world, I'll say about two millions will be watching the fight without paying...

Yup, that's what Golden Boy wants hear....

I think for this PPV 100k will not cut it...I think their goal might be 300K maybe even 250k Cotto-Mosley PPV buys.

I never heard anything about this "dibs" stuff. Business is business. Give the fight fans what they want; which is a healthy Kirk vs a healthy Canelo. I never heard anything about that "dibs" stuff you're talking about.

                    That's the problem.

I'm not sure why Canelo's getting kudo's for attempting to fight a hurt Kirkland.

Because its about building towards a floyd canelo fight, its not about Canelo's skills etc. He has another 10 years to build his legacy. This is about GBP building this fight into a 1.5 mil ppv or better event.
