I actually meant to say Canelo can't catch a break[with finding opponents that will please the fans]. Too lazy to edit it though.

Two opponents that would have brought crowd pleasing styles, and are top fighters in his division, and both of them got injured and can't fight. Obviously Williams was way worse. Also, a win over either of them would have further legitimize a fight with Mayweather.

In a perfect world, we get at least Canelo-Cotto. If Canelo was out looking for the best possible fighter at 154 not named Mayweather, he'd fight Lara.
