I think Bute beats him too TBH, although Pavlik's power could make it interesting.
Pavlik's power was only interesting at 160.

At 168 and above, top fighters there can take his power and give much more in return. I thought he struggled badly with Alfonso Lopez, and I agree with Adalaide Byrd's scorecard of 95-95 for that fight. Of course you had an unknown there and C.J Ross, one of the three musketeers who can't score a fight correctly, giving just about every single round to Pavlik.

      That about sums it up.

So does he or doesn't he?

Would love to jump back on the Pavlik bandwagon, but we'll have to see.

      Good luck Kelly.

Pavlik needs to make more noise with his fists in the ring.

Enough trash talking and chest beating.

He can come back, but he's got to do it like he did it against Taylor.

I love this forum and hate this forum. I love it because I love boxing and most of you guys obviously love boxing too, but I hate it because as is all to common in sports (not just boxing) guys treat this as a way to **** on people they just aren't fans of. AS an example, I hate the Miami Heat, and it is WAY easy to call LeBron a choker when they GAG on a game like they did last night. I hate Mayweather too and I am glad he is in jail. BUT I am not such as ******* as to suggest he isn't great.
Pavlik has had one horrific performance in his career (Lopez), which he won. I dont count Hopkins against him nor Martinez, Both great fighters that beat him easily. Getting your assed embarrassed by Hopkins is not the sole province of Kelly Pavlik. Being beat by Martinez is certainly no embarrassment either.
I don't think KP can beat Froch. But it takes an idiot to give him no chance or to hold his single bad performance as a reason to call him an idiot or a drunk. He might be a drunk and an idiot, but he has a heavy right hand, and a heart of stone (ever seen him quit?) and honestly MOST boxers would kill for his power and most die lacking his heart.

Time will tell, that was a rebound fight where KP was obviously knee deep in his personal demons. I see a lot of improvement and more importantly a re-dedication that seems genuine.

Pavliks power at 168 is unproven he has not looked good at the weight yet. Froch is proven in every sense of the word Froch TKO in 9.
