..away some strength and power. Now he hasn't got to stick to the IBF rules, in his recent training pix he looks like he did around the time he fought st clair where he looked alot stronger and powerful, this might benefit him for the garcia fight.

Only allowed to gain 10lbs? There is a weight LIMIT in boxing. All fighters should have to weigh in 6 hrs before fight time, it would stop guys from blowing up and keep fighters in the proper divisions.

nah, you're weighted the next day in the morning so he would still have time to rehydrate some more.

15lbs i think, khan was limited and peterson looked alot stronger, chavez jr put on over 20 lbs, maybe there should be a limit

chavez jr put on over 20 lbs for his last fight and only the IBF have that rule if im not mistaken? peterson put on 14 or 15 lbs because he diddn't have to go by the IBF rules but if the rematch happened he would have been affected alot especially as he would be 5lbs lighter and he would lose significant strength

if only being allowed to put 10lbs on is the rule and he would naturally put on 12, 13, 14 or more lbs that restriction will have a big negative effect on strength, power and endurance..his muscles cell volume wouldn't be at optimum volume if he wasn't allowed to gain what he normally would, carb loading is done by every fighter b4 the fight and for every lb of stored carbs/ glycogen in muscles the body naturally stores 5lbs of water so he would have to limit food and water intake to prevent going over the 10 lb limit
