I'm really happy for Froch's great win last week but let's not lie to ourselves here. Andre is always going to be a problem for Froch, it's just boxing science. Support Froch and be a fan but don't try to make him invincible.

note the title mate, i said run it close.

Never said he would smash him to pieces.

Fact is froch Had ALOT of room for improvement, preperatiuon wise, tactically and where it could be held, to run it alot closer.

Plus although froch was poor, i gave it 4 ro8unds to ward, which is no complete brooking...

I think Ward vs Froch in Nottingham is a 50/50 fight personally. The reason is because Froch won't try to outbox him the way he did the first fight, he'll just fight him the same way he fought Bute, and that Froch is a very dangerous fighter for Ward. Froch will get inspired by the crowd to put on a show and attack Ward consistently. And Ward can't really hurt Froch (unless he uses the head).

I know most Ward fans brush it off like it's nothing but I seriously believe that Ward will get affected by not having the home advantage, and having to deal with a fairly hostile crowd. Only because we have never seen Ward have to deal with those things at the top level of the game, only as an amateur. Ward will be completely out of his comfort zone from the first bell and to me that will even up the fight considerably. 50/50 fight in the UK.

But if the rematch happened in the US, I think Ward takes it although it'd be a closer fight than last time (on my cards).

Ward is a hell of a good fighter though, there's no doubt about that.

1.Show me proof you bet on Ward winning. Show a post from the past where you said so.
2.Froch is a live dog in any fight but Andre Ward is just a step above him.

This fight would never happen. If there's a rematch, it's in the US.

You're probably right though. Stylistically, Ward outboxes Froch.

The only way Froch can or would do better is if Froch was on his best day ever and then maybe Ward is half-injured or just not motvated at all..

To the peeps saying forget it because Ward clearly won the first fight, well there were lots of fights in boxing history which were won by one guy but the rematch was entirely different.

                    Lewis vs Rahman
                    Viloria vs Nino
                    Pacquiao vs Morales
                    etc..

So I don't see why people could possibly be against rematch. These guys are still the top 2 in the division, in my opinion, and Froch just put on an outstanding performance. I'd like to see the rematch take place in UK Nottingham, the atmosphere of that fight would be crazy. Plus Ward woud finally be testing himself outside of his comfort zone, even though it would be against a fighter he clearly beat the first time, he'd have to deal with things mentally that most of the other Super 6 fighters had to deal with for 2 years running (situations Ward never had to go through because he stayed in the US all the way through, which was obviously an unfair advantage)

                      exactly, great post.

And for those whom are saying ward wont travel, why wont he?? hes boring as anything and can barely sell out a garden shed. Froch is where the moneys at,and itsa bout time ward travels.

No ones is saying froch will win, we are saying there was alot of major errors froch didn that would make the fight more interesting. One being at the brutal nottingham arena...
