  • I honeslty think froch c ould run it close with Andre ward.

Now before you lot say "oh comon you bias moron, he lost get over it".

He did, no questions aske i even bet on a andre ward points win.

However, lets take a couple of factors in.

Froch got(who didnt listen to ward) his tactics wrong dramatically. He said in the pre fight that he will walk through his punches and knock out ward.

he did this tactic in round 5, and rounds 10-12. But the rest were pathetic by his standards.

Not taking anything away from ward, he makes is fking difficult, but never the less, froch was far to cute in his style.

Also froch did zero clinch work in sparring. He admitted thats a mistake and boy did it cost him. How can you face a spoiling fighter like ward and do zero inside work on your boxing??? Get light heavies that enjoy a good inside spar and he would be far better prepared.

Having the fight in nottingham. Froch, as a other fighters are far better at there home turf. The crowd cheer every punch you land(or dodnt land), and nottingham crowd is the most intimerdating in boxing imo. Ward as a pro has yet to travel. How would he cope???

Im not saying froch would win the rematch, but there were some massive gaping factors that Would certainly make the fight more competitive than its first...and with frochs mental belief, anythings possible.

I think he could do better than before, he looked god-awful in that fight and not just because of Ward, his own movement was ****, his punches were wide and slow and yes his inside game was sub par.

Worst Froch i saw, and to be honest the Johnson fight too he looked very poor imo,

I remember ringside before the Ward fight they asked Froch "you feeling good, you feeling sharp Carl?" and he just moaned about feeling "old" and i remember thinking wtf is with you man?

i thought he was done but maybe he was just worn out or something?

Froch has a decent chance of winning any macth he's in. However Ward might have also made improvements / adjustments since their last match. You also have to factor in that Ward suffered a righteous hand injury during the bout.

Either way I'd be interested in seeing a rematch between Ward/Froch, Froch/Kessler or even Ward/Kessler!

i thouht he looked good in the glen john son fight to be honest, some good hand speed.

But the ward fight he looked tired i agree. But lets give ward credit he has a unique style to the super middle weight divion with his wiry spoiling ing tactics, his hit and clinch style no ones use to.

Although wards very good, i dodnt think hes as good as being billed, i just simply feel he got a tactic, that the other toe to toe esqu fighters such as froch and kessler cant deal with.

Bika as you remeber gave ward a good fight, and hes no where near kessler or frochs level. Perhaps sparring with bika, although it would be very dirty sparring.

i agree, in the hand injury, but froch was lost out there. He almost had worst inside game than KHan tbh.

I often feel froch deliberatly makes it hard for him self, he use to brawl when he just had to dominate with his gag, but when he should have made it a brawl against ward, he tried to out box him olympic style. very poor.

Plus throw it in nottingham and it would be interesting to see how ward would act.

Either way he has to beat kessler first, winner gets ward rematch...

agree with this, wards style will always give froch problems n i think ward will beat him again if they fight in the future. The one thing i always think of in there fight is how close the american/canadian judge had the fight (2 points i believe), the only judge tht got it right was the english judge.

Froch would do better in Nottingham with the crowd behind him, but Ward beats Froch anywhere.

On a related note, Ward congratulated him on twitter and Froch wished him well v Dawson.
