I quit riding that day. Coincidentally, a buddy of mine was the service manager for a harley davidson dealer. He quit riding right about the same time. He got unnerved that 1 or 2 of his customers on average died every month.

For many years tike, here have been ongoing studies regarding reconnecting severed spinal cords, and 2-3 years ago I read a study which claimed that they'd claimed success in encouraging the severed ends to grow towards each other.
As for the accident, I regard anyone who rides around on a motor bike as a kind of lunatic. Many ears ago friend drove up on a bike in front of a house I was visiting, and looked around behind him. He was looking for his pillion passenger, who was later found stone dead about 20 miles back. He'd bounced off when they went over a hump-backed bridge. They'd both worn helmets.
Consequently I've never allowed any of my family to have a motor-bike, nor even ride on one. A cardinal rule in my home.

I was so surprised when I heard about this. Paul Williams has always been a good guy and is one of the classiest guys in the sport. Although it will take a miracle, I hope one day he gets to walk again.

My cousin died riding. He was the best in his crew by far too.
Some accidents just can't be avoided and you're always vulnerable on a motorcycle.
Reading what happened to Paul was gut-wrenching. I hope a miracle happens and he regains his mobility. If work is a factor, then Paul has everything he needs. No one works harder.

One thing that makes me feel a bit better for Paul is hearing about his successful Real Estate ventures. He probably felt that his time was up in boxing anyway.
You never know, could've been a blessing in disguise. Although I think he was probably very much looking forward to the Canelo fight, both professionally and financially.
Thoughts with him. Class guy from the looks of it.

When riding a bike you are way too exposed to every danger in the steet. When riding a bike, you hit or got hit...you will end up the loser. We heard too many sad stories regarding motorcycle riders. Whenever riding a motorcycle please make sure that you always follow all safety measures...wear a good well built helmet, a good jacket (preferably leather) that can protect the body especially the shoulder and back. Wear knee protectors and proper type of shoes. Lastly "GET A GOOD LIFE OR ACCIDENT INSURANCE".

Dirt bikes are great but I almost died in the hospital after a motor bike accident. I was bleeding internally and they couldn't figure out where...that was a long time ago but I saw a poster on the wall when I was getting my cast off that said "Buy your son a motorbike for his last birthday". Chilling.
