For real. I like motorcycles, and I know people who ride might think I'm just a *****, but no way am I getting on one. Too much of a risk. Everyday accidents in cars don't end in paralysis, just the really bad ones. Even little things can be big injuries on a bike.

No its called riding with gear on. You wanna know what motorcycle gear protects?

Helmet: protects the neck and head
Jacket: every jacket has back support and shoulder support, with big plates there to take the damage. They were specifically made to prevent injuries exactly like the ones Paul got.

I understand not wearing riding jeans but riding Helmet,Jacket,Gloves,Boots should be mandatory....every year I see people dying on bikes because they dont wear gear and drive around in shorts and a tank top pretending to be cool.

I wanna hear details of crash before I make a judgement but it doesnt sound like Paul was that experienced as a rider, since your bike is so much faster at braking/accelerating, you should always be aware of cars around you, in the one article it said he was trying to avoid something but ended up crashing.......cmon Paul.....feeel sorry for you bro, but why would you ride when you got a job that pay's millions that is reliant on your health and safety that doesnt last forever........Hope he fully recovers and that people hyping it up, hope its just a regular accident and he fine...

That's all good, but I'm sorry I don't believe a helmet and a jacket gives me just as much protection as I'd have in a well-built, safe car. The fact of the matter is that riding is a LOT more dangerous than driving. I'm not hating on bikes, I like them, and it's your choice to ride one if you want. Still, I'm personally not going to take that chance.

I heard he was trying to avoid another car in the next lane that was negotiating a curve and then had to maneuver to avoid an oncoming car. He was there to attend his brother's wedding.

No news yet what kind of gears he was wearing.

Damn he was going to his brother's wedding. Imagine your brother gets into an bad accident like this and gets permanently disabled on your wedding day. I can't imagine what his family is going through...

Exactly, and we must not forget Paul is just one person, we don't even hear about all the accidents out there, I'd bet there's probably one every few seconds. My friends death wasn't really even reported on the news. Plus there's so many bad drivers out here I consider myself a good driver and can barley see them zipping past me sometimes...

One of the coolest fighters that I have met......
Agreed, he is a very nice guy and down to Earth. One of the realest people I've meet and loves the fans.

                      What an idiot.

He should've never been on a bike in the first place. Athletes have some of the worst judgement. If I was a promoter I would do the same thing a lot of companies do with their employees. I would put a clause in their contract that they can't do any dangerous activities while they're under contract.

No way would I put myself in the same position he put himself when the biggest fight of his career, first major PPV, and biggest payday of his life was a few months away.

I hope he recovers and it able to walk on his own again without any assist. Praying for him.
