I think with Canelo he knew after a few rounds shane wasn't going to win and it was more of a matter of just getting shane to the final bell.

against Pac, I thought he told him some good things but shane was on his bike after the knockdown and simply didn't want to engage in a real fight. I don't think any trainer could have helped shane if shane didn't have it in him to take risks.

Shane hasnt looked great in a loooooong time to me. Round 2 of the Mayweather fight is pretty much the last time he did anything exciting in his last 4 fights and that round consisted of him landing 2 punches.

Naz's swim kit and face towel training is a joke. Shane has looked gassed out in all of his last 4 fights.

Naz is a excellent trainer, but what can you do when your fighter cant pull the trigger anymore?..Shane is shot

excellent?..based off what?.....He wasnt Hopkins trainer till late in his career when B Hop already had the Boxing IQ & old school savvy to win big fights. He hasnt proved himself to be excellent in any way.

He is excellent with analogies and introspective analysis and quotes but he isnt an excellent trainer IMO.

Not sure it's fair to criticize Naz's techniques when it comes to Shane who like you said hasn't looked good since round 2 against Floyd. If a fighter is old like shane, not much you can do. But remember it was Naz who trained him for Margarito and that's when shane still had something left.

Now his technique's seemed to work perfectly fine for hopkins for many years, but old guys are old. I'd like to see Naz with a young, talented pro fighter who's serious about their career.

Cunningham is another guy that's pretty old now, plus he never really had the best of chins, but his technique was typically solid.

An interesting experiment to keep an eye on is Badr Hari, who Richardson is training.

Naz started being the head trainer at the end of 2005 for the Taylor Rematch...Hopkins was 40 when Naz got him, he knew all there was to know already. As a matter of fact, Hopkins has lost more fights under Naz then he did before Naz was training him.

Naz didnt get Mosley until 2009, Under Naz, Mosley is 1-3-1.

Yes Hopkins already knew the game long before Naz but he was still in his corner for many of his fights long before he became head trainer and worked with him for many years.

All trainers do that though. Roach for example, Steward...all trainers end up training guys who are already established, that's no diss.

Plus ****m works with a lot of young amateur Philly fighters. Everyone in the industry says Naz is a good trainer, the only people I've ever heard say otherwise are here on NSB.

It says it's only illegal in N.Y since the other comissions had no problem with this on other places, has this tarnished your memory of Tito?

No way did trinidad cheat. The porto ricans are a respectable and honest people. They would never attempt to gain in unfair advantage in any sport. The fact that trinidad's career declined after the Hopkins fight is merely a coincidence.
