    arum is right.

We all know what happened the last time marquez carried a ppv by himself...

less than 100k vs casamayor. Half the arena blacked out.

Arum is right. Marquez vs. Morales is the only fight that makes sense both financially and for legacy.

The Gesta fight is Marquez being selfish in the hopes for another Pac fight which frankly doesn't interest me whatsoever. I don't think anyone wants to see that again. JMM is just coming off as a sore loser over and over.

Pac beat him 3x and he wants to put the fans out for one more whinefest after Pac beats him again.

Just fight Morales and be happy people finally care about you.

Marquez has never come close to being a serious A-side draw on PPV.

          True.

But you even have fighters mouthing off (including Marquez, although I can't remember exactly what he said) that Pac and Mayweather fight easy opposition etc when outside of Pac-SSM they have both been in legit fights with no tune-ups like everyone else, including Marquez.

this is at the cowboys stadium though, this isn't some weak latin fury PPV. I completely understand why arum wouldn't want gesta vs marquez.

also abril-rios was a PPV because Gamboa pulled out and hbo/showtime didn't want to pay for the card anymore, so it was forced on PPV. originally Gamboa-Rios was to be on regular HBO.

I really fail to see where anyone can have something negative to say on Arum here if they go with Morales.
              Duh? Lol.

So Rios vs Abril is more marketable than Marquez-Gesta then? Arum is not looking out for what his fighter wants, and all you can say is "duh"?.

BTW, The Ring did the right thing by jointing together Pacquiao and Mayweather as #2. Why don't your little Top Rank nuthugging self follow suit and do the same thing with you weak P4P list?

see my post above. Rios-Gamboa was to be on regular HBO, Gamboa pulled out, neither HBO or Showtime wanted to buy the card, so it was forced on PPV.

Excuse me? Top Rank what? That's funny. Rios-Abril was on PPV because HBO wouldn't buy it after Gamboa fell out and they wanted to keep their guy busy. Marquez has certain minimums and Arum is weighing his most profitable course. There's a huge difference in the two shows, and it still doesn't overlook trying to make the biggest fight possible where just a no-profit show would be.

                      Yeah.

                      Duh.

And all P4P lists of active fighters are weak. P4P is ****** fun at best.
