The hardest puncher in the world is quite possibly some unheralded fighter with a spotty record and very little notoriety. Punching power is one of those intangible things that you can only measure in a subjective way (not talking about PSI readings) in boxing, so it's not like speed or defensive prowess.
Fighters today have learned that being a puncher is almost a surefire way of only going so far at the elite level, without fully making it. Punchers also tend to have shaky chins, which would limit a fighter's climb into mainstream view in the long run. We've probably never seen or heard of him, whoever he is (the hardest puncher in the world).Comment

Vitali is NOT a hard puncher? Maybe you should take a shot to the face from him and come back and tell me that he is not a hard puncher. Because he didn't knock out one guy you're going to write off his power? SMHVitali is not a hard puncher.
If he was a really hard puncher he would have 'ko' the weakest, most frail, most shot, most under prepared, most old, most fat, version of Lewis.
Lewis was blocking Vitali's punches that night with his face and he was just smiling through it. Easy Work
Vitali just knock out bums with a cumulative group of semi hard punches
resulting eventually in the bum falling over due to sheer exhaustionComment

Can only think of Wladimir and David Haye.
When he actually bothers to follow the jab with a right hand...it's game over. He actually threw it in the Mormeck fight and Mormeck was just gone. Okay it's Mormeck but still..
For me, Vitali isn't a huge puncher anymore. It's more like a build up of punches that is the beginning of the end when he stops people.Comment
