    Difference between chin and stamina?

I'm a new fan of boxing and English is not my first language. Can anyone explain to me what's the difference between chin and stamina? If you can please give example of a fighter with chin, but no stamina or good stamina but bad chin.

chin = ability to take a punch

stamina = endurance, ability to perform for a long period of time without getting tired

Good chin & questionable stamina = Oscar De La Hoya

Good stamina & questionable chin = Lennox lewis

they often go hand in hand bcuz being in good shape makes you take a better punch. some have the genetics to take a punch regardless of what shape they are in and others are the oposite, get in brilliant shape but still cant take a punch.

btw lewis didnt have a bad chin at all, its just a myth.

roger mayweather had reasonably good stamina but not the best chin. DLH as mentioned had a very good chin but lousy stamina.

He's got both which is why he's an ATG.

His chin isn't iron but it's very good and his stamina helps his recuprative abilities for when he does get hurt.

If you think he has a bad chin or stamina i don't know what to tell you.i think he is like Tito gets knocked down early but gets stronger as the fight goes on

I love Juan Manuel but he is not an ATG. And if having both makes you an ATG then Antonio Margarito is an all-timer too.

In what way is Ricky Hatton's chin questionable?

What? Do you watch fights of these guys you talk about Larry?

Mosley has always been known, throughout his entire career up until the last few years as an old man, to have had great stamina. He was always the guy finishing strong and it was one of his top qualities. He always closed out the championship rounds.

So, I'm guessing you're basing this off his last few fights against Money Mai, Pakeeow, and Ginge?
