I think Tszyu's concentrated power shots were harder than JCC's, but JCC's overall punching was heavier than was Tszyu's.

It's really a simple matter of JCC being a scarier version of Hatton with a more refined style. Tszyu didn't exactly have the most solid chin and Chavez' chin was iron-cast.
Dunno. Tszyu's chin seemed pretty good to me. Not the best ever, but pretty good. Plus, Rosario was a lightweight and Tszyu regularly weighed in at 150+. So I'd say that Tszyu hit harder than Rosario, though that's just an opinion.

And I'm not sure I agree with your take on the punching power. I'd believe a guy who took both fighters shots more than anything.

And I think Chavez & Hatton are different styles. Providing Chavez wasn't allowed to hold, headbutt, hit low & then nod to the ref when he wanted a break, it could be an even fight...

Hatton is one of the most skilled fighters I've ever seen, I've not seen anybody yet who was able to do some of the stuff he has done. He hasn't shown much form in his last two fights, but he's got himself in a great position now.

If Hatton beats Mayweather he'd be top-five all-time lb4lb material.

I think Chavez would of beat Kostya, Chavez had a great chin and was technically sound he didnt do anything great his did everything good and he was relentless and had great stamina.

Think about it like this... tszyu got hugged to death in his last fight... he didnt know what to do with a guy that was on him. The same happened when he fought OLD roger mayweather. Tsyu looked bad.

Prime 140 Chavez would be all over Tsyzu, landing MANY more times than hatton, creating more damage than hatton. Most people here only seem to remember old chavez. The Prime chavez was an offesnsive technician. If there was one thing he did great was to inflict a lot of damage. He also had respectable hand speed.

So let me get this straight, people are saying Tszyu would beat a guy, who puts pressure on his opponent like hatton does, only he does it while inflicting a lot of damage, moves better, has more experience, a granite chin, great timing, and essentially a benchmark in the way fighters are supposed to break others down.

Im guessing alot of people on this page are to young, never had the chance to enjoy watching in the late 80's early 90's.

Whitaker and Chavez are the top two fighters of the 1990's. But Kostya Tszyu is the best 140lber ever, ahead of Pryor.

The competition alone that Chavez and Whitacker faced in comparison the Kostya says it all. Whitacker would of embarrased him and Chavez would of plain beat him.

Chavez was too busy fighting Tijuana Cab drivers in his prime.
