I agree. A prime Chavez would have defeated Tszyu for sure. Probably by UD.

nah man .... at no point in tzuyu's career was he the killer that jcc was in his prime. absolutely no doubt that jcc would have bludgeoned kostya. i love tzuyu - but those lefts to the body and jcc's overall conditioning and chin beats tzuyu at his peak everytime.

watch the videos of both of them, no way JJC had a bigger punch than tszyu

i have to respectfully disagree - i've seen most if not all of jcc's fights and pretty much followed tzuyu since the ams - at no point in his life was he on jcc's level - well - he was the better boxer but he'd a slugged it out w/ jcc and payed dearly for it.

Chavez was a ****ing tank in his prime. He'd kill Kostya's body early and would land big shots upstairs sending Tszyu to sleep inside of 10. Tszyu isn't durable enough to hang with Chavez for 12.
                  Exactly .

You have to look at both sides of this...

Chavez was a rough swarming fighter, much like Hatton, but with a better punch.

Tszyu probably packed the most punch (p4p that is) during the 90's, but he doesn't have a style to fight a swarmer.

Tszyu I think is the better boxer/fighter and would win on paper, however styles make fights and Chavez has the style to beat Tszyu.

Ouch that hurt typing...I can't stand Chavez and Tszyu is one of my favs =(

Honestly who did Tszyu beat in dominating fashion to convince some of you that he could beat or KO a PRIME Chavez? Chavez fought/beat plenty of big punchers, faster handed men, and great boxers.

Edwin Rosario could hit like a mule, Chavez walked through everything he hit him with and beat him to a pulp.

Meldrick Taylor was one of the best boxers of the 90's during his peak, and had the fastest hands of ANY fighter I've ever seen with my own two eyes. Chavez (although undeservingly) slugged it out with him and won.

Chavez beat the crap out of an arguably undefeated, very slick Hector Camacho. He cut off the ring and came right through that jab (which happened to be VERY good) to beat on his body until Camacho lost a lot of his mobility.

Chavez wasn't a talentless slugger and had underrated defensive abilities regardless of what some people think. He had a very tough style for Tszyu and was much stronger PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY than anyone Tszyu has fought yet.

Juy you have been awarded the official boxingscene dunce cap for saying HAtton is better than a prime JCC.
