Mosely hands down! Just so talented and fought almost everyone during his time. He beat a prime Oscar De La Hoya.

      It's Sugar.

Mosley beat prime De La Hoya, Leija, Vargas twice, younger version of Mayorga, beat Margarito first and beat him way better, Collazo. Mosley also has those lesser wins that are decent, like Golden Johnson, Antonio Diaz, Raul Marquez. And for what ever it's worth, he went 48 rounds with prime Forresst and Winky, losing all 4 fights, but making both rematches competitive.

Most likely Miguel. Simply because he doesn't have the PED issue to question the validity of some of his wins like Mosley will when it's all said and done.

Taking that out of the equation the biggest win for either fighter would definitely be Mosley's victory over DLH in their first fight.

Cotto is more well known, so it's gonna be Cotto. Shane Mosely wasn't ever a huge draw. Cotto could headline and sell well. Big difference when it comes to whos remembered.

Mosley's win over Oscar vs Cotto's win over Mosley

Oscar was in his prime, Mosley was not

Mosley wins based on that, cause I'm sure if Mosley were Cotto's age now, just about everyone Cotto beat Mosley would have beaten

Oscar was a far better fighter than Margarito, and Cotto's victory was tainted by the fact Pac more or less helped

Then we get to the steroid issue... That's where things get fuzzy for me

                Mosley
his big win over Oscar in 2000 beats anything on Cotto's resume
even past prime, Shane had a basically dead even fight with Cotto
his LW resume wasn't great, but his wins were spectacular there
then there's the big win over Tony, who'd just destroyed Cotto
Cotto has had a good career, but not as good as Shane has
he just doesn't have as many losses
but a couple of Shane's losses are from when he was shot anyway

Mosley's last 4 performances have been beyond pathetic. Thats how I will remember him. Cotto will be remember by avenging his lost to the cheater and giving Floyd Mayweather a hell of a fight. This is a no brainer.

TS you need to understand the difference between better and greater. As of right now Mosley is the greater fighter even though his legacy will always be tainted by his PED use. As to who is better? Hard to say, Cotto has better boxing fundamentals (jab, defense, footwork) but Mosley had better physical abilities (speed, power, strength, punch resistance). Cotto beat a post-prime Mosley in a VERY close fight so this victory doesn't mean much. Basically they are neck and neck, I can't say that one is clearly better than the other.
