wilder has over 20 fights now. owen beck isn't anythiung more then a C level journeyman. if anything maybe beck can get wilder some tougher rounds but beck hasn't been relevant in 7 or 8 years.

I didn't realize Wilder has over 20 fights now. Last I saw him he looked very raw, but it's getting pretty close to time for him to take a step up. I believe the guy has talent and potential, but he is still clearly a long way off and should continue to be moved at a relatively slow pace, but at a certain point you gotta find out what he is.

I while back I remember reading an interview by Deotay when he stated that DeLaHoya told him that he needed to have 25 wins before he gets the any type of elite competition.

So maybe that's why he is only fighting cab drivers at the moment?
