I agree. Cotto's brother had Canelo hurt in the first round. I think Ortiz could smother him and knock him out.

He was really young then. His corner mentored him during that fight and he didnt make that mistake again. In fact, I havent seen him in trouble like that since that round which was over 2 years ago.

hope it happens cause i'll bet every cent i have on canelo. Ortiz thought maidana hit hard? Ortiz imo hasn't erased his quitter image. He looked good against berto(knocked down twice) as he got up twice but he pretty much quit against floyd to. Ortiz has fought better opposition than canelo, but ortiz would lose pretty bad to canelo imo.

Don't deflect the true intention of this interview to "Oh, Ortiz isn't mentally stable". The fact of the matter is, Canelo hasn't fought anyone.

He has Top 5 contenders at 154 waiting on him, instead he and Golden Boy decides to fight the #10 WW. What kind of crap is that?

I think they're grooming Canelo carefully. Can't blame them, but the fans are expecting him to go against better competition now. Alvarez/Ortiz would be a good match. Canelo has the power and Ortiz has the heart. Who would win? Canelo against Kirkland or even Angulo wouldn't be bad either. Maybe start with Angulo first just in case the last fight with Kirkland made him a little easier to beat.

what are you talking about? You want Canelo to fight Angulo who lost to Kirkland? Kirkland is in line for Canelo. Also, you say Ortiz has the heart? Like when he quit against Maidana?
