I have to agree with Ortiz one this one. They have to put Canelo in with someone young and hungry, much like Ortiz. I think Canelo should fight the winner of Berto/Ortiz. If he beats any of those two guys he'll have more credible names under his belt.

I think they're grooming Canelo carefully. Can't blame them, but the fans are expecting him to go against better competition now. Alvarez/Ortiz would be a good match. Canelo has the power and Ortiz has the heart. Who would win? Canelo against Kirkland or even Angulo wouldn't be bad either. Maybe start with Angulo first just in case the last fight with Kirkland made him a little easier to beat.

It's getting about time for Canelo to fight someone who is young and at least semi legit. If he fights Kirkland that would qualify, if he fought the Ortiz-Berto winner that would work, if he fought Cotto that would be great. 1 of those 3 needs to be next, especially if they are serious about putting his next fight on PPV.
