I actually like Arum's idea, and it's fair . If Floyd won't accept that he really doesnt wNt this fight !

I was making a rough estimate of the total of what they would eventually get. So if Mr Floyd is offering $40 million and the fight has of potential of making $200 million, he's essentially offering 80/20 split. That's why it's looking like a duck move. This is not uncommon. Fighters do it all the time. They price themselves out of a risky fight.

Man, that solution makes it worse for Floyd's stance on getting the majority of the purse split:

          Pac vs.

          DLH - 1.2
          Hatton - .875
          Cotto - 1.25
          Clottey - .75
          Marg - 1.2
          Mosley - 1.3
          JMM - 1.4

          Total - 8.025

          Floyd vs

          DLH - 2.4
          Hatton - .95
          JMM - 1.00
          Mosley 1.5
Ortiz - 1.2 (I am being generous here because I heard it barely made 1M)
          Total - 7.05

So Pac has outsold Floyd by more or less 1M.. Lets face it the only thing that Floyd got is that DLH fight, a fight wherein he was the B side.. That was all DLH who had came out of retirement and was popular as ever..Plus being the first mega fight since Tyson-Lewis.. You take that out and Pac beats him by a mile..And I am not even counting the PPV buys for both fighters pre-DLH..

And you can smell Schaeffer's intention for proposing an accounting firm to do the numbers.. And this is because Arum is stiffing GB of Pac's fights against Top Rank fighters simply because Arum controls the books..Just remember there's a lawsuit between GB and TR regarding this matter. It has nothing to do with making Pac-May fight..

actually, if u look at both fighters last FOUR fights:
            mayweather:
            - cotto @ 1.5
            - ortiz @ 1.2
            - mosley @ 1.5
            - jmm @ 1.0
            ***5.2mil total or
***1.3mil avg for last 4 fights

            pac:
            - margarito @ 1.2
            - mosley @ 1.3
            - jmm @ 1.4
            - bradley @ ???
            - 3.9 mil + whatever the PPV numbers for the bradley fight, in this case, pac will need to atleast have PPV numbers of 1.3mil vs bradley to EQUAL mayweathers last 4 fights of 5.2mil

if pac/bradley fight makes more than 1.3mil, than pac has generated more PPV buys than mayweather did in their last four fights

i dont know how anyone can even think mayweather is the PPV king when looking how similar both his and pacs PPV numbers wen compared...one must also look at the fact that mayweather is an american fightin his own country and pac is a foreigner fighting in the u.s...turn the table and do u think mayweather would do better numbers against pac in the philippines?

Floyd's numbers are inflated by stacking his undercard with mexicans and fighting on mexican holidays. Floyd also has to offer free limo rides, hotel rooms and buffet in order to entice people to come watch his fights.

Floyd fighting less than pac is an invalid argument ; because longer breaks in between fights increase demand and plus floyd is very selective with who is in his events and when they take place. Also, it's not pac's fault that floyd needs to take 1 year breaks to maximize his gains from cycling his steroids.
True, real osdt test is 1 year. Floyd test is 2 months, he has 10 months to cyle his steriods and get lean and ripped. As how his Traps, delt, his whole torso was ripped. riods is definitely in the picture.

boxing fans = 50/50 make it happen

floyds groupies = no 50/50 no PPV sales for pac

by the end of the day schaefer has no power to negotiate for this fight it will be floyds vag!na to decide if she is woman enough to make this fight happen and quit crying for new demands

90% of people on this forum say yes to 50/50

leaving 10% floyds groupies to grow some balls along with him

I agree with you partly. But you have to consider two things
First of all the Cotto numbers have not been released yet... Second the accounting firm is going to based in on total figures since Schaeffer himself said is talking about the TOTAL revenue since 2007.. And not being selective about fights...

Every time I read one of your posts I realize that you are the absolute dumbest poster on this site. There are viagra spambots who make better posts about boxing than you. You make posters like hugh grant and D4thincarnation look like Pulitzer winning sports journalists. The worst part is unlike trolls and half trolls like them, you 100% believe what you write.

Chicken Floyd will always come out with a new excuse, but the real reason why he is not fighting Manny Pacquiao is just what he said on a nationally televised interview HE IS WORRIED ABOUT HIS OWN HEALTH IF EVER HE WILL FIGHT MANNY PACQUIAO. That is plain and simple and every body can understand that. Chicken Floyd will fight other boxers that he knows he can beat. Years ago he went into retirement because he was scared to death to fight good fighters like Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito. After Manny Pacquiao demolished those big contenders and now he fought Miguel Cotto because chicken Floyd knows that any fighter that lose to Manny Pacquiao by KO or TKO can not be back in the ring effectively anymore. They can not be same fighter anymore.
