I think the best way to look at this guys resume is to look at how many champions or former world champions the beat.
I know, that's why I'm not comparing the resumes. I just thought it was interesting to see how many each guy beat when there opponent was in the Top 10, and to see if anyone was surprised. I don't Quintana was at that point yet, I only remember seeing him in the Top 10 after he upset Paul Williams. Urkal was Top 10 at WW though when Cotto fought him, forgot about that fight for a second there.

I'm pretty sure Quintana was top 10 after he beat an undefeated Julio. I could be wrong though.

I culd be wrong too, I don't remember him being Top 10 until he beat Paul Williams, but I could be wrong. For the sake of the argument, I'll say he was, since most seem to agree he was.

Torres, no he wasn't. He was unproven as hell at that time, hadn't done anything. Torres wasn't until 2006 when he won that vacant title.

I thought Carlos Hernandez was when Floyd fought him, but he wasn't until a year or two later when he won a title at 130.
quintana wasnt top 10 yet got a title shot?

Shane Mosley and Jorge Solis were both top 10 when Manny beat them.

Quintana and Paulie were top 10 for Cotto.

Hey it happened with Kelson Pinto when Cotto was at 140 too. That was for the vacant title, and Pinto wasn't Top 10 at JWW either.

I included Quintana, since we got people telling me he was, but I seem to remember him not being in the Top 10, just highly ranked by the WBA at the time. I could be wrong, so I put him in. But I only for sure remember him being Top 10 after beating Williams.

Paulie was NOT Top 10 when he did, and I included Quintana for Cotto.

And Mosley may have been, but Solis was not Top 10 at 130 when Pac fought him in early 2007, he wasn't. He was ranked in the Top 10 at 126, not 130.

Mosley DEFINITELY was, and so was Solis.

You need to do research my friend.

Solis was not ranked at 130 man, he was inside the Top 10 at 126. He and Pac fought at 130, he wasn't ranked in the Top 10 at 130 lbs. Go look it up.

And pardon me for the Mosley mistake, forgot he was even relevant after Mayweather and Mora fights, my bad.

Solis wasn't though, he was Top 10 at 126. He wasn't in the Top 10 at 130 until 2010.

                      Found a source quick.

WBC International featherweight boxing champion Manny Pacquiao (44-3-2, 35 KO’s) halted Jorge Solis (32-1-2, 23 KO’s), in the 8th round of their scheduled 12-round fight on Saturday night at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas. Solis, 27, the # 4 ranked Super featherweight in the WBC, and previously undefeated, gave Manny Pacquiao, 28, a tougher time than many people expected, before being destroyed by Pacquiao in the 8th.
