Does the NSAC test for CIR? Don't they only do the 6:1 ratio thing?

If not, then so far, VADA is looking like it should replace the NSAC and all other commisions when it comes to combat sports.

I mean with normal NSAC testing, Peterson is a clean fighter and we would have gotten a fight on May 19th. With the normal Vada testing, Peterson is also clean. With the extensive Vada testing, Peterson gets caught.

So it took like 3 levels of testing to catch Peterson. Imagine how many fighters cheat? Especially those who avoid wada/vada testing, which are mostly Top Rank fighters.

So far, Top Rank fighters have been caught cheating, like Margarito and Peterson. GBP fighters that have undergone random OST Ortiz, Khan, Mosley, all have passed the tests. Chavez Jr refuses to get normally tested, Pacquiao wants a PI agency to test him for the Floyd fight, or wanted it that way, I don't know where he stands on that now.

Top Rank looking more like Top Cheats now.

        No NSAC doesn't use CIR.

What do you mean that Chavez Jr has refused to get normally tested?

Neither does the agency that Floyd uses and does olympics in USADA/WADA when is under 4:1.

Peterson is not a Top Rank fighter bro. C'mon.

what's so controversial? LP passed the ratio test, and failed at the CIR test. they detected use of a banned substance and that's it.
the only exceptions are if banned substances are medically necessary, and use reported before testing is done. this is common in winter sports with athletes who have asthma.

I wonder who's bright idea it was in the Peterson camp to ask for both fighters to be tested by Vada?

The bigger story really is what if CIR testing was standard in ALL sports??

Don't be surprised if 50% or more professional athletes are using synthetic testosterone. VADA Testing is basically telling everyone that testing for ALL sports is currently ineffective.

If major sports organizations had an idea that most of their athletes are using synthetic testosterone, then NFL, MLB, NBA, etc. will NEVER adopt VADA Testing procedures that use CIR testing.

Peterson is not a GBP fighter.

Bob Arum is going around defending Peterson, what's up with that?

Ryan Braun was caught using synthetic testosterone too so I'm pretty sure baseball uses CIR testing as well.

I guess every boxer is allowed to use these pellets and try to have just under normal.

Heck having 3 times a normal man is a lot when you think about it. No idea why a NSAC allows up to 6 times more than a man.
The normal ratio in an avg male is 1:1...but bc athletes are typically genetically advanced or further evolved that ratio varies. Which is why the standard normal limit was 6:1 until Wada lowered it to 4:1 bc of few amount of cases of individuals at 6:1 & higher. (& there are some atletes who register higher than that accepted norm of 6:1)

I'm really tired of the piecemeal portions of info being released via boxing blogs. This is serious stuff bc of the implications. It suggests that individuals can maneuver around the the system in various ways...including OST. I mean this stuff gets so sophistocated...why don't they just appoint victor conte as the head of this kind of effort. He is probably the most knowledgeable & capable person to administer and/or create a standard for the entire sports industry....but when I think about it. It will probably means loss of revenue & excitement within all athletic circles....The other option is to pass laws that allow atheletes to safely engineer their bodies to get the maximum performance...My intuition tells me that athletes have always taken substances...either natural or otherwise to gain a marked physical advantage...blood transfusios etc. Remember the infamous black bottle in the pryor/arguello fight...I also honsetly believe fighters have been altering handwraps since they've been introduced...remember Naazim said tito's wraps felt like a cast b4 the hopkins fight...nobody ever asked how long they had been wrapped like that...remember roach said oscar would twist the tape on his wraps between the knuckles to make them like ropes & thus harder...I mean none of this feels like its a new phenomena to me. nonetheless...I still want to hear everything at once....the entire story from all sides to know wtf I making a judgement about. Bc the whole thing sounds ****** as ****.

Yeah, not long ago a lot of people were praising Lamont for not being under any promotional agreement and how it left him in a very good position. Now it seems like not having a GBP or Arum to fight his corner may cost him.
