in addition pac-jmm 2 still holds the record for the lower weights....

anyway 1.5 is good/great numbers but it does not break the status quo between the numbers of Pac and Floyd....

At the end of the day, floyd will likely end up the #1 ppv boxer of all time and manny will end up probably #4 or 5, which is a great accomplsihment considering weight and hes not an american.
I would only imagine how big Floyd would've been if he had Tyson's aura in the 80s and 90s. The guy would've done 3 million PPV sales consistently. You have to take into account the ways to promote a fight back then were much less and there were much less households that had PPV enabled boxes back then. But other than that, Floyd is the PPV king. His fight back from jail might be even bigger. Controversy sells, folks.

Come on man stop. Floyd is far superior to Manny. Manny is good and deserves credit. But don't elevate him where he isn't.

Mike was a HWT champ when being HWT champ meant you were the baddest man on earth. Floyd could never have that aura. Floyd could never do 1.55 with a Mcneely, thats why Tyson always will be considered ppv king, even when floyd eventually outsells him. ODH brought in so many young women and gay men that NEVER purchased boxing before or after, that he desreves his respect too.

Pre-Cotto, Floyd did similar, if not higher, numbers than Manny. Post-Cotto, Floyd is truly the PPV king. These are facts, people, FACTS. Stop being butthurt because Manny is #2. He's a Filipino who doesn't even live in the US AND he has commercials in the US promoting cognac and cell phones. That's fucking great for not just a foreigner, but an ASIAN. Other than Pacquiao, which Asian athletes are doing the numbers that Pacquiao is doing in the US?

It is important. The 50-50 split issue is a problem for making the fight. Therefore, PPV numbers between the two fighters have to be important.
