Well Pacquaio sold 1.25 against cotto, and did 1.45 against marquez in a fight a lot of us blacklisted.

the #'s for pack vs marquez is BS.. Arum has never came out and said what the final numbers were. he said its looking to be 1.4 million... but then he also said that he will never release the numbers again after the mosley fight and we still dont know what the final numbers for the pc vs mosley fight are... they are just numbers arum through up there guessing what it would be

That this fight sold 1.5 mil despite media attempts to bash it and some even blatantly saying don't buy it, is impressive. So many people hate seeing floyd get richer. Why?

ANYONE, even posters I respect, that says this is a 50/50 fight needs to let it go. Floyd has proven himself as one of the 3 best ppv attractions in boxing history. Its time Manny stop bull****ting, take random OST (without asking for 50/50 to do so)and 35-40% and fight. Manny is popular but floyd is superior.

Yup coz Floyd is delusional to think it's just him who pulled those numbers. When we all know Canelo pulled in 500k at least on a mexican Holiday, another 500k for Cotto coz he is a bigger star than he was when he fought Pacquiao, and the rest is MAyweather.

Not to mention Mosely's loyal fan base 200k.

But knowing Floyd he would think it was just him who pulled those numbers, when in fact he pulled only around 500-700k ppv in that fight.

So yup, knowing Floyd he thinks he did it by himself when we know he was backed -up with other stars to help him pull those numbers.

Disappointing really. He should have at least pulled 1m in there. But seems like at best 700k. Canelo and Cotto contributed with 500k each for sure.

What i don't get is why you are so determined to try and make a solid ppv showing into disappointing results.

Now I know Pac fans are going berserk because for one, if the 1.5MIL came from a Manny fight, they would be ecstatic with praise from every angle. Also, to say that Floyd needed Canelo to do big numbers is extremely ridiculous because who the hell wanted to see him fight Mosley. Canelo got fans but no where near 1MIL. On top of that.... Why do you think Golden Boy put Canelo on the under card? Not only because it was Cinco De Mayo but also because it would generate him more fans. Guess what? His next fight is going to be him headlining on his own. Of course having Cotto as an opponent helped sell it because he has a strong fan base but isn't that how it is supposed to be if two of the top guys in the sport fight? Floyd has done big numbers without Cotto and Canelo on his under cards before.

Floyd is the biggest money draw in boxing and that should not be debated or denied by anyone. Reminds me of when Pac fans were trying to say that Pacquiao had more punch stats numbers than Floyd because he threw more punches when Floyd is already recorded as the most accurate puncher in the sport. Crazy how Pac fans try to twist it to make Manny seem greater. If you guys really thought Manny was greater than Mayweather, then you would not be on every Mayweather thread trying to down play and convince others that Pac is indeed greater.

People think I'm taking up for Mayweather but fact of the matter is that I cannot stand Pac fans rearranging and changes up facts and things that actually happened just because they don't like the guy and on top of that..... Trying to convince others who know the sport and whats going on that they don't because they are *****s. Really unbelievable how much hate goes on here for fighters who are not favorites to some fans. I think Manny is good but not the best boxer or technical fighter and always keep it about boxing when it comes to him.

It's no brainer that canelo help boost ppv sales as it was on a Mexican holiday. U got also cotto and Shane Mosley that contributed as well. It's decent numbers no doubt.
