Pacquiao had the highest selling and grossing PPV in 3 of the past 4 years in both PPV and at the gate, and in 2 of the past 3 years going head to head with Floyd. He wasn't doing Mayweather numbers, he was bettering them. And Floyd offers him 0% of the PPV and fight revenue? Manny quite rightly has told him to get ****ed. The whole world knows 50-50 is a fair and reasonable split. And none of this was an issue until Pacquiao agreed to the tests, which all the skeptics predicted is what would likely happen for Floyd to continue ducking. There is nowhere for Floyd to run but behind his delusional and one-eyed fans on this. The most glaring mark on his legacy will be that he ducked Pacquiao.

Floyd just made a guaranteed 32 million dollars including all the PPV vs Cotto. And Cotto only took home 8 million dollars.

Pac can't be serious about 50/50 lol he just can't be because he's numbers aren't equal to floyd. To get 50/50 that means you are equivalent to your opponent and he's not.

You know why Dela Hoya agreed for $32M to Floyd? Coz Dela Hoya knows a lot of Floyd's dumb followers will buy the ppv no matter if it's price $70 or $80 they are going to buy it hahahahaha Dela Hoya is not as greedy as Arum so he doesn't care if he's making $1M or $10 for Floyd's fight. Like Manny ran away from the original and best offer? How is Floyd supposed to know that if you ask a man that will be trying to knock your head off in a ring is going to run for the hills when asking for a drug test to both will be administered.

Mike Tyson asked Evander Holyfield to take one and Evander did. In the original offer, Floyd conceded monetary infractions for being over the 147 pound limit, the glove size, the ring size, 50/50. All of that, in exchange for drug testing and the Top Rank side ran away from the negotiating table. Floyd stated in 2009 that if they didn't get the deal this time, 50/50 will no longer be on the table. That was a take it or leave it part of the deal. Things have changed since that time. Article after article has shown that Floyd is not only in charge of his career in a major way, but he is killing everyone else when it comes to money earned. The New York Times article that I posted shows that Top Rank was doing $30 million dollars while Floyd is earning north of $40 million. There is a big gulf between $10 million dollars. 50/50 should not even be a negotiating tactic because of the economic difference between the two.

He (Floyd) needs to just suck up his pride and accept the 50/50 split. It's the only way we're ever going to possibly see the fight happen for starters. And secondly, we know Arum will just come up with something else as to why the fight can't happen, so in the public eye, Floyd would be vindicated.

I think both guys are at fault here, but I blame Pacquiao more simply for refusing the testing when originally requested. Looks shady as hell.

Dirk we agree. Thats the problem is the logic used. If you keep saying, "last 3 fights" well then now that argument is dead.

Bottom line for me is random OST, especially now since Petersen tested psoitive, can't be something exchanged for purse split. Nevada, HBO, promoters, fighters, all should be able to agree better testing is needed.

This means purse split should be decided based on the numbers. If Manny doesn't deserve 50/50 then he shouldn't get it.
