THE FLURRY: After Saturday, I Feel Confident Manny Beats Floyd
By Blake Hochberger , The Sweet Science, Thu, 10 May 2012
Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto Takeaways: -First off, what an awesome fight! Nice to see Floyd actually be in a real fight. He definitely won, but I had it awfully close. I scored the fight 6-4-2 for Mayweather. If you score the two even rounds (3 and 9) for Cotto, you’re looking at a draw potenti Read Full Story >>>http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/...ny-beats-floyd

So beside, boxing analysts, aficianados, writer's and fans, Floyd is the only one not confident of beating Pacquiao?

Pac beats common opponents better. So Pac should beat Floyd, and if people dont think Pac beats Floyd, is to overate Floyd. People overate people in boxing all the time, not just floyd.

Floyd can’t stay off the ropes (or doesn’t care to)
            I agree with this statement.

Its a hard fantasy fight to call. I say "fantasy" because the fight will never happen because Floyd just don't want it. But, if it did happen and I had to bet serious cash, I'd go with Floyd. That's the ironic thing about it. And, I'd root for Mannie.

Floyd wasn't trying to outbox Cotto, he stood in front of him. He obviously would have a harder time doing that with Manny so you'd see more movement out of him.

But I'll leave it to the Mannytards to claim his legs are shot so he lies on the ropes in order to avoid punches.

The thing is that Floyd remarkably well preserved. His legs are not shot. I see a good probability that Floyd catches Mannie leaping in with that power shot. Of course, Mannie could catch Floyd too with that leap. But, the odds of that happening are less than the pick off, precisely because Floyd may be the only boxer alive that's able to elude Mannie's lightening.
