He was moving and circling around really good when he kept the fight in the center of the ring, but when it comes to his habit of laying against the ropes, that would definitely put him at a disadvantage against Manny. You can say anything you want about Manny when it comes to the technical aspects of the sport, but he's one of the best at throwing straight sharp punches.

Floyd doesn't defend well against head-snapping punches especially when he's against the ropes. Oscar and JMM timed and caught him with two good straight right hands when he rested against the ropes.

Most of those "head snapping" punches are exaggerated due to Floyd pulling back or rolling to actually take the steam off of them. This is world championship level fighting and great defense is more than not being hit at all. You're gonna get hit. Great defense includes rolling, parrying, etc.

he fought hatton after 2 ok wins against the always tough rugged paulie and almost got beat by lazcano not to mention he felt the turnbuckle with floyd

he fought a cotto after plaster-hands beat him to a pulp in the 1st fight fought jennings who? and clottey got robbed in the cotto fight

he fought a shane who was coming off a draw and a loss

I don't know why guys are bringing up Floyd vs Pac ....... when Pacman has a couple huge hurdles in front of him in Bradley and possible a 4th fight with Marquez -- The latter who many feel was clearly robbed of the win in his second and third match with Pac.
